Overview

The September (2024) release of iVendNext incorporates a few new features and an overall improvement in the application.

Surcharges

Surcharges for item returns have been implemented.

Reason Code

A Reason Code for item returns and sales returns is now in place.

AI Engine

The AI engine has been integrated, along with relevant UI changes. An icon has been added to the top menu, which opens the AI chat window in a separate browser tab.

Tax Code

Tax code selection functionality has been implemented on the POS.

New Screen Implementation

A new screen has been created for Cash In, Cash Out, Void Sale, Sale Discount, Item Discount, Price Override, and Suspend Transaction, along with associated reason codes.

Item Upsell

Item upsell functionality has been implemented on the POS to display recommended products.

Variant Item Selection

An item variant selection dialog has been added, allowing users to select a variant item when a main item is added to the transaction.

Custom POS Theme

Users can now attach a custom theme to the POS from the POS Profile.

Reason Code

Reason Codes for Void Sale and Suspend Transaction are now provided in the system.

Reason Code Description

The system previously displayed the Reason Code's code in the transaction list; it has been changed to show the description of the selected reason code instead.

Thermal Label

Thermal label seeding has been implemented, so the system comes pre-filled with thermal label templates upon installation.

POS Search Screen Filters

Generic filters are available on the POS Search screens, allowing users to filter data in product and customer searches.

Tender Count

A cash counting option has been added during the POS closing process.

Payment Screen Redirection

Users are now redirected to the payment screen when they click the payments button on the main transaction screen.

Surcharge Form

A surcharge form has been created for collecting surcharges at the POS.

The Expense Entry Form has been modified based on the new design pattern, which utilizes Smart Elements.
